Let’s Talk Football!!!

This summer in Russia the major blow for national of Spain arrived just days before the start of the World Cup. After Zinedine Zidane announced the shocking new that he is leaving Real Madrid, shortly after new statement arrived like a thunder storm on a clear sky, Julien Lapotegui will take the charge of Real Madrid and as a consequence he was removed from the management of Furia Roja at the FIFA World Cup in Russia 2018. From my humble point of view this was one of the major factor that blew up the chances of Spain to progress to far in the biggest international football competition.

Barcelona from another side is changing slowly but steady the philosophy of the game as well, different approach for attack, defense, ball possession and so on. Arrival of Malcolm, Arthuro and Vidal didn’t solved the problem from the back line but as long the attacking line orchestrated by Lionel Messi is doing their job, this thing is not gonna be a major issue in their trip for another successful campaign in Spain or in Champions League. In the first game of the season current Spanish champions, Barcelona won 3-0 on Camp Nou Deportivo Aleaves. The visitors are known for delivering a surprising results especially against the dominating team from LaLiga. This time they managed to finish the first half goalless and it is already like a semi achievement. In the second half Barcelona increased their pressure in the attack and on 64th minute Leonel Messi opened the score. Phillipe Coutinho double the lead of the hosts on 83rd minute and new Barcelona captain, Lenell Messi got his second goal in the extra time. Final score Barcelona 3, Deportivo Alaves 0.

Sevilla season started before the beginning of the LaLiga with the qualification matches for Europa League and must admit they were doing quite good in their new adventure in 2018-2019 in European Cups. In Spain their first game was away against new promoted from Rayo Vallecano and that was a match to watch. Franco Vázquez opened the score for visitors on 15th minute and from this moment on the Sevilla show started. Andre Silva who arrived from AC Milan got a brilliant debut game and notched a hat-trick(31′. 45′, 79′). Rayo Vallecano down 3-0 had scored the consolation goal on 85th minute with a well taken penalty by Adri Embarba.

After Zinedine Zidane left the club another key players around whom was built the success of Royal club from Madrid, Cristiano Ronaldo moved to Juventus for a fee of around €100m an astonishing amount of money for a 33 years old Portuguese superstar. The things are going in a clear direction for Real Madrid, the time of big changes is coming and the major achievements in the couple of years are less probable despite the huge amount of the talent that the club has in their current squad. So the first match of the season was very important to check the pulse of the team and try to see who will try to take the initiative to carrying the team in the void created after departure or Cristiano Ronaldo. Despite the news that the match on Bernabeu against Getafe had the lowest selling tickets rating in years, Real Madrid got their things right and on 20th minute Dani Carvajal opened the score. The Welsh international Gareth Bale get his name on the score sheet in the second half on 51st minute sealing with this a good start for his team in a season that is full of expectation from the veterans and full on uncertainty towards a team that is changing generations.

Atletico Madrid the fresh champions of European Super Cup in Tall in 2018, managed to keep their super stars like Griezmann and Godin and is one of the sides that will fight without any doubt with Barcelona for the title this year in Spain and in Europe. Diego Simeone’s players had their first LaLiga match away at Mestalla against Valencia and if you remember the last season the “Bets” got a huge development in the last couple of years and became a very competitive side. Ángel Correa opened the score for visitors on 26th minute and it seemed that all is going as per the plans made in Madrid. Valencia, playing home, supported by the crowd, improved the playing style and got a equalizer on 56th minute through Rodrigo(Moreno Machado). Final score 1-1 and neither of the sides got happy with this result, but he fact that still there are point for each of the sides provide the solid bases of delivering a solid campaign for both sides.

Let’s start talking football.

Last week of LaLiga Santander, week 38 was marked by the receptions dedicated to the retiring from the big stage for Andres Iniesta from Barcelona, Fernando Torres from Atletico Madrid and Xabi Prieto from Real Sociedad.

Last game of the season Real Madrid played away at Villarreal. Gareth Bale and Cristiano Ronaldo opened the score for visitors on 11th and 32nd minute respectively. The news of the day was that instead of Keylor Navas the goalie on the day had a new keeper, to be more specific it was Luca Zidane, the manager’s own son, to show some of his skills in a game that had no pressure and the result whatever it was suppose to be had no influence on their fixed third place. Villarreal came back in the game in the second half and scored twice through Roger Martínez(70′) and Samu Castillejo(85′). Final result a warrior draw 2-2.

Valencia in ht least round of LaLiga 17/18 hosted on Mestalla the relegated side of Clarence Zeedorf, Deportivo La Coruna. Valenci opened the score on 28th minute of the game and kept the result created by Simone Zaza until Gonçalo Guedes doubled the lead on 77th minute of the match. Deportivo responded with the goal of Lucas Pérez on 80th minute, but in the remaining time visitors failed to push for a draw, so good luck for them in Secunda next season.

Stadio Wanda Metropolitano, the home ground of Atletico Madrid has a very festive atmosphere before and after the match with visiting Eibar. The reason of a such atmosphere was the retiring of Fernando Torres from the big stage of football. Torres started in Atletico from the academy progressed to the first team and from there he went to conquer the football world playing at Liverpool, Chelsea and in the end coming back to Madrid. El Nino got on fire and it was clear that team wanted to give to one of their leaders and legends a good farewell. So Torres scored twice on 42nd minute getting the equalizer after the goal of Eibar on 35th minute when Kike put visitors ahead. Second goal of Torres came on 60th minute putting his team ahead on 60th minute. After remaining in ten men as a result of the red card of Lucas Hernández on 63rd minute, Eibar pushed for equalizer on 70th minute through R. J. Pena.

Another brilliant atmosphere was at Camp Nou on the day that Andres Iniesta had played the last game for Barcelona. The choreography of the fans, music and light it was a heart-tearing scene seeing Andres leaving the pitch and the team this time for good. Good buy Legend. In the beginning of the game one more player announced of his retirement and played the last game fro Real Sociedad it was Xabi Prieto. The only goal of the game was scored on 57th minute by Phillip Coutinho on 57th minute.

Hi everyone, welcome back to LaLiga Santander Weekly review and today will have a look how the top clubs of the league played this weekend. We prepared for you the most interesting highlights of the games, few stats, list of the goalscorers, league table and as well few promo links from our partner SubsideSports and the catalog of football tickets provided by the international tickets broker SportEvents365. Let’s start talking football.

Welcome back to LaLiga Santander 2017/18 weekly review. Today will have a look on 37th round of Spanish top competition and how the grands of the league played their matches.

Will start with Atletico Madrid that after this game went to Europa League final against Marseille and beat them 3-0 and with this victory got their third trophy of this competition in their trophy collection. Before the final of Europa League it was clear for Diego Simeone that second position on the table is already guaranteed and a place in Champions League next season so the match away at Getafe didn’t have too much importance overall on the season performance. Anyhow the game was dominated nu the visiting side from Madrid and they battled a minimal away win 1-0 after the goal of Koke on 8th minute. Getafe had a brilliant chance to get at least a draw but Fayçal Fajr failed his team and missed the penalty on 70th minute. Final score 1-0 for Simeone’s team and a positive mood before the final that they won in the end as the events showed it.

Luciano Vietto, 24 years old, Argentinian striker on loan from Atletico Madrid was the hero for Valencia in the away match against Girona. He scored the only goal of the game on 61st minute and have his team confidence and assurance that next season Valencia will play Champions League football.

Zinedine Zidane left his best player of the squad Portuguese winger Cristiano Ronaldo out of the squad in the home game against Celta Vigo and the man of the match was Gareth Bale that scored a double(13′, 30′). Isco made it 3-0 on 32nd minute of the game Achraf Hakimi scored the fourth on 52nd, Celta Vigo’s Sergi Gómez own goal made it 5-0 on 74th minute and the icing of the victory arrived from German play-maker Toni Kroos on 81st minute. After trashing Celta Vigo in a such manner a question is rising why Real Madrid didn’t delivered in a such manner in the first half of the season similar performance in LaLiga, though in Europe they’ve been in fantastic form in the last three years and another final of Champions League in Kiev is the proof of this statement.

One of the most interesting match of LaLiga Santander 2017/18 week 37 was the thriller game with 9 goals where Levente finished unbeaten record of Barcelona and beat them at home 5-4. There were not much to lose from both sides, Barcelona is already the new Spanish Champion and Levante secured a place in LaLiga Santander next season. Hosts started well the match 22 years old Ghanaian forward, Emmanuel Okyere Boateng scored a double(9′, 30′). Just before the end of the first half Phillipe Coutinho pulled one goal back on 38th minute. In second time Levante went ahead and scored just after one minute of the beginning of the match. Enis Bardhi made it 3-1 on 46th minute,  Emmanuel Okyere Boateng completed his hat-trick on 49th  and same Enis Bardhi get his second goal on 56th minute sending all Barcelona fans and team in a shock, Champions were loosing to an outsider 5-1 on 56th minute of the match. Blaugrana came back fast though in the game and Coutinho scored twice(59′, 64′), Luis Suarez converted a penalty on 71st minute and they had another 2 minutes to equalize and force the victory. The intensity of the game and the defense play of Levante resisted the attacking waves of Barcelona so the final whistle result concealed a unbelievable 5-4 for Levante and the end of unbeaten season.

Once you have a look over the action of the past week, share with us your opinions, leave a comment bellow and don’t forget to subscribe for our newsletter and share the article using the social buttons. Let’s start talking football.

LaLiga is back. On 4th of May 2018 Sevilla played a home match against Real Sociedad, visiting team is a dificult opponet and knowing the current form of Sevill in the league had serious planes to continue the misery of the hosting team. Sevilla gave the ball away to Real Sociedad but this played just in hand for the host as visitors maneged for entire 90 minutes just one shoot on target, the opposite team managed much more, to be specific 8 shoot on target and the penalty on 47th minute was taken perfect by Ever Banega that proved to be the only goal of the game and the winner in the same time.

Villarreal had given a major reason of joy for their supporters as they beat 1-0 at home Valencia. Mario Gaspar Pérez score the winner for Villarreal on 86th minute of the match and most probably next year we will see them playing in Europa League as the losing side sealed already a spot in Champions League.

Diego Simeone’s team got beaten 0-2 on Estadio Metropolitano de Madrid by Espanyol. The rumors of the imminent departure to Barcelona of Antoine Griezmann si keeping the tension in the team and is reflecting on the performance over all of the team. Own goal of Stefan Savić on 53rd minute and goal of Léo Baptistão(77′) gave Espanyon a lead of two goals on what Atletico Madrid couldn’t respond properly after they’ve got a hard match in the middle of the week the 1-0 win at home over Arsenal in the second leg of Europa League Semifinals.

The main game of the week was by far the second match of El Classico on Camp Nou, Barcelona was playing against the finalist of the Champions League, 4 times in 5 years and the winner of the last two Champions League Titles, Real Madrid. Barcelona are already the Champions of Spanish LaLiga, didn’t got the corridor from their bitter opponents and started well opening the score on 10th minute through Luis Suarez. Zinedine Zidane’s team responded fast and on 14th minute the score was 1-1 after the finish of Cristiano Ronaldo, that didn’t execute his trademark celebration as a gesture of support for Manchester United manager, Sir Alex Ferguson that got hospitalized after a brain hemorrhage, but got better as we’re writing this article days after all thing had happened. Back to El Classico, there were again a lot of controversy regarding the referee decisions and on 45th minute, Sergio Roberto got send off the pitch. Leonel Messi scored second for Barcelona and overall host we’re playing better with one man down but couldn’t keep the lead as Gareth Bale equalized on 72nd minute for Real Madrid. This was last Classico for Andres Iniesta that is set to leave in the end of the season Barcelona and Sergio Ramos after exchanging the shirt with him post a nice tweet about Spanish and Barcelona legend. “Beyond what happened on the pitch, last night’s will be remembered as Iniesta’s Clásico. You will be missed, my friend.”

This was the review of 36th week of LaLiga thank you for your support and leave a comment bellow what are the best moments of the past week, your opinions about the games and the thoughts that you’d like to share with us.
