Week 35 in Serie A Tim 2017/18 marked the lines between first and second place this time for sure so most probably Jyuventus will get the title again by the end of the campaign.
Roma continued their good form in domestic league winning at home 4-1 ChievoVerona. Patrick Schick opened the scor eon 9th minute, Edin Dzeko douibled the lead on 40th minute. On 56th minute Brazilian defender of AS Roma, Juan Jesus got send off but Roberto Inglese failed to score from the penalty spot for ChievoVerona on 59th minute. Stephan El Shaarawy got the third one for AS Roma(65′) and Dezko the fourth(67′). With two minutes before the enf of the game visitors got a goal bach through Roberto Inlese(88′).
The most dramatic game of the week was between Inter and Juventus. Douglas Costa oepned the score for Juventus on 13th minute and two minutes after this Inter remained to play the game in 10 men after the Uruguayan defender Matías Vecino got a red card. Playing with one men down, Inter equalized on 52nd minute through Mauro Icardi(52′) and went ahead after the own goal of Andrea Barzagli(65′). Juventus took the initiative and forced an equalizer that came after an own goal from Inter’s defender Milan Škriniar(87′). Feeling the weakness of Inter, Juventus remain on the front line putting pressure and as a result just one minute after the equalizer Gonzalo Higuain scored the winner on 89th minute.
AC Milan is having lately one good, one bad this week they’ve got a good one on the pitch. Hakan Çalhanoğlu opened the score on 34th minute and then Giacomo Bonaventura doubled the lead on 45th minute. Second half didn’t bring too much from both sides except that in the end of the game Bologna reduced the difference scoring a goal on 74th minute through Sebastien De Maio, but this was it AC Milan defense resisted and got their hard fought three point away from home. The recovery of identity and team spirit is still under process and most probably next campaign we’ll see another AC Milan that aims for Champions League position and maybe will give a fight to Roma, Juventus, Napoli or Lazio for title.
Speaking about the Title of Champions, ladies and gentlemen it’s officially over. SSC Napoli got hammered 0-3 by Fiorentina away. From a hero to an anti hero, this is the story of Kalidou Koulibaly, who scored the winner against Juventus in previous game he got a red card on 8th minute leaving SSC Napoli in 10 men. Giovanni Simeone, 22 years old Italian striker had a fabulous form on this day and got a hat-trick(34′, 62′, 90′) with this crushing the hopes and the dreams of Scudeto for a team that was waiting for a new title almost 30 year, they almost reached it but again failed to keep the consistency. To be honest I am by far a big fan fan of the style of playing of Maurizio Sarri’s Napoli but this missed chance for sure will affect the players the team and if the manager is leaving in the end of the season I’m not sure if they will be capable next year to give the same fight for title to Juventus.
An we’re finishing the analysis of Serie A Tim 2017/18 Week 35 with the minimal away win of Lazio. This year writing so many articles about Italian football I discovered for myself the beauty of Italian football and beside SSC Napoli, I was following with big interest the evolution of Lazio in the league but most importnant in Europa League, where they got eliminated in quarterfinals. It seems that slowly but firm Italian clubs are getting in better shape and soon will give a big fight to the grands of European Clubs. Meanwhile the only goal of the game away against Torino was scored by Sergej Milinković-Savićon 56th minute, it was enough o secure the victory but the tension was there for entire match because in the beginning of the game Luis Alberto missed a penalty on 23rd minute and it was the manager’s job to motivate his team and players to push forward for winner, task that after result we can presume he completed perfectly.
Roma 4 – 1 ChievoVerona
Inter 2 – 3 Juventus
Crotone 4 – 1 Sassuolo
Atalanta 3 – 1 Genoa
Benevento 3 – 3 Udinese
Bologna 1 – 2 AC Milan
Hellas Verona 1 – 3 SPAL 2013
Sampdoria 4 – 1 Cagliari
Fiorentina 3 – 0 SSC Napoli
Torino 0 – 1 Lazio
