Arsenal Football Club ,also nicknamed as “The Gunners”, was founded in 1886, originally as Dial Squad. It is one of England’s most successful clubs and has been in the top flight of English football for most of its existence, holding the record for most consecutive seasons – 89.
The 2003-2004 season will be remembered by Arsenal’s fans for a long time. The team won the Premier League’s title without losing a single game. It was Thierry Henry’s season in which he gave a final and an unquestionable proof that he was one of the greatest players of his era. It was also the last league win for Arsenal up until now.
Arsenal have won 13 league titles, 13 FA Cups, 2 League Cups and 14 FA Community Shields, many of which have been won by their most successful and longest serving manager, Arsene Wenger. The club also finished as runners-up in the 2006 Champions League final, where they narrowly lost to FC Barcelona.
