ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE 2018-2019 WEEK 4 HIGHLIGHT, RESULTS, COMMENTS AND LEAGUE TABLE

First day of School and the beginning of Autumn started in England on high note on the matter of football. Week 4 of Premier League was quite a spectacular one, Allison Baker conceded a goal after overplaying with the foots in the own box, but his team still won 2-1 at Leicester City. Manchester United get back in business with a 2-0 win away against Burnley in a match that Jose Mourinho side was dominating clearly and were showing an attractive football. Manchester City forced a win in a tough match away against Newcastle United after the long rang shoot of Kyle Walker found the net and brought that important three points for Jose Pep Guardiola. Sari’s Chelsea is going so far from better to better with another 2-0 win at home against AFC Bournemouth, despite that the visitors wasted a bunch of really good occasions. Arsenal second win in a row in a thrilling match away at Cardiff City. Gunners imposed themselves 3-2 and a brilliant goal on from Lacazette reminded the Arsenal supporters why it was paid such a big amount of money for the transfer of this talented Frenchman. All good and sunny except for the Spurs that suffered a surprising defeat 1-2 away on Vicarage Road against Watford.

More comments of the following week will come next and we’d like to thank you for you time and support. Here we prepared for you as well the most important highlights and the goals, league table, results as well the links for cheapest Premier League tickets 2018-2019 and the offers for football kits and merchandise. So Let’s Talk Football!

After three consecutive wins Liverpool traveled to London to play against Leicester City. The opponents are not the most easy side to face on away games and a win was a must for the reds in order to cement a good start of the campaign in their bid for the title this season. Sadio Mane opened the score on 10th minute and just soon after Mohamed Salah missed an monumental occasion in front of an empty goal. The haters jumped and rivers of criticism flowed stating the overrating status of Egyptian forward and even more came days later when Jordan Henderson, the current captain renewed the contract. To be honest I think he is for sure not the best midfielders in the league but his amount of work in defense, pressing and in the construction of the team that play an attacking football as Liverpool is showing must have a player as Hendo. Milner again and again showed his great impact on the team and after a corner Roberto Firmino made it 2-0 on 45th minute. The game was under control of the visitors until Alison Baker complicated the situation trying to dribble Ihencacho, fall was intercepted by Leicester and from 63rd minute after the goal of Rachid Ghezzal the host started to push for an equalizer. Klopp felt the change of the balance and that the game might slip through the fingers and added in the attacking line Saqiri for counter attacks and pressing and in defense he brought in Joel Matip. By far not a very spectacular win but 4 out of 4 wins in the beginning of the season is definitely a good start before the international break.

Ady Howe AFC Bournemouth got a surprising win last season with an incredible 3-0 on Stamford Bridge against a under performing Chelsea of Antonio Conti. This time Sari motivated his team for a win and the goal of Pedro(72′) and Eden Hazard(85′) gain the victory for the Blues. Important to be noticed that visitors had few major occasions to score in order to go ahead or equalize due the mistakes of Rudiger or David Luiz. Dynamic match with plenty of chances from both sides and another team with 100% success in their four opening matches, Chelsea is on second with 12 point with less goals scored than Liverpool.

Manchester City get back in business after the Kyle Walker got a superb goal from a long range on 52nd minute at home against Newcastle United. Raheem Sterling opened the score on 8th minute with a nice shoot in the far corner and visitors replied with an equalizer on 30th minute through DeAndre Yedlin. It was clear after the end of the last season that finishing with a such great difference of point ans scored goals that beat long time standing records is not gonna happen this year, so Pep Guradiola changed the tactics and approach of the matches getting his best from all the players he’ve got. The draw with Wolverhampton was an disappointing moment but it is clear that it counts less in the fight for the Title then the direct matches against such teams as Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester United or Tottenham.

Unai Emery started in his lining up away at Cardiff City both Lacazette and Aubameyang, dropping on the bench Henry Mkhitaryan. Gunners pushed in the end for a win with Alexandre Lacasette scoring the winner on 81st minute but the match was by far not an easy one. Arsenal went twice ahead: Shkodran Mustafi(11′) and Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang(62′) and twice Cardiff City got back into the game with the equalizers of Víctor Camarasa(45′) and Danny Ward(70′). Good sing for Arsenal supporters is that their strikers are getting better understanding with each others and starting to bring goals. The team still looked raw but the project in under its way and the success will come in time and it seems it’s going in the right direction.

Manchester United traveled to Burnley and on Turf Moor Stadium many teams from top six left defeated or losing precious points. The tension on the manager was mounting up with the rumors about the potential replacement with Zinedine Zidane, Romelu Lukaku header on 27th minute and the finishing after rebound on 44th minute were enough to seal a 2-0 away victory.  Red card shown to Marcus Rashford that earned a penalty that Paul Pogba missed, was the only black mark of the day that brought a breath of fresh air for under pressure Jose Mourinho and his team that showed a composed play and an attacking football.

Mauricio Pochettino in the post conference after the 2-1 defeat away at Vicarage Road against Watford, stated that because they under estimated the opponents, Tottenham got beaten here first time since season 1986-1987. Spurs started well the game and put lot of pressure on the back line of Watford in consequence on 53rd minute, Tottenham went ahead after a shoot was delfected in the own goal by Abdoulaye Doucouré. After coinciding the goal Watford get the initiative and started to press more in the attack and after two free kicks the managed to equalize on 69th minute through Troy Deeney and get the winner with another header from a cross from the corner on 76th minute(Craig Cathcart). Tottenham Hotspur had their few chances to save at least a point but as it happens usually in football it wasn’t their day. Going in the international break Spurs remains on 5th position with 9 points after four games.

ENGLISH PREMIER LEAGUE 2018-2019 WEEK 3 HIGHLIGHT, RESULTS, COMMENTS AND LEAGUE TABLE

English Premier League continued this time with round 3. After a interesting two weeks the actions continued. Today will have a look at Manchester City that were unfortunate enough to lose first two points in an away draw 1-1 against Wolverhampton Wanderers. Everton lost in a incredible fashion, being one mad down, they’ve got a lead of 2-0 and then conceded twice in less then four minutes, ending up draw 2-2 at AFC Bournemouth. Unai Emry’s first win with Arsenal in Premier League 3-1 against West Ham United. Liverpool got a minimal home win 1-0 against Brighton & Hove Albion FC. Chelsea showed the character and pushed for a 2-1 victory away at St. James Park against Newcastle United. The last match of the round that made the most of the talk for the past week was by far the fantastic 3-0 win of Tottenham Hotspur at Old Trafford against an aggressive, attacking but lacking precision in the last third Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. The major question after of the football weekend was this: Is Jose Mourinho staying or he’ll be sucked soon if the results fails to improve?

Jose Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City got their third game of Premier League away on Molineux Stadium against new promoted from Championship Wolverhampton Wanderers. The champions get the game in their hands from the beginning and it was just the matter of time until they got their opener. Stats and data are very important in sports but despite total dominance of the match, on 57th minute after a controversy and a hand ball that was not seen by the officials, Willy Boly put the hosts ahead. To be honest it is quite a scene to see Manchester City losing 1-0 in the middle of the second half. Aymeric Laporte got the equalizer for “Citizens” on 69th minute and with a shock feeling the meeting was over 1-1. Question after this match is Nuno Espírito Santo, Wolverhampton Wanderers’c manager cracked the code of invincibility of this fantastic team of Guoardiola, or it was just a bad luck or lack of concentration in the beginning of the season that gifted the hosts an enormous one point, up coming weeks I am sure will find the answer for this question.

After two straight defeats Unai Emery got his first win with Arsenal on Emirates against West Ham United. The Hummers though started way much better then the hosts and Marko Arnautović opened the score on 25th minute. If you’re watching Premier League this year, you might know the feeling of wonder if Arsenal gonna come back and deliver or will crumble again as they did against Chelsea. Well as the match proved, Gunners equalized fast just five minutes later through Nacho Monreal. The key moment of the day in my opinion was the own goal of West Ham United French defender Issa Diop on 70th minute. Danny Welback scored the third in extra time and it seems that slowly but steady Unai Emery is getting the things right and accordingly team delivers a better performance. Let’s see how they gonna do next  week.

Liverpool got a good start of the season with two wins in two games as much as Brighton & Hove Albion FC that visited this week Anfield after an incredible victory 3-2 at home over Jose Mourinho’s Manchester United. With every single game in the season the expectations are rising and after a substantial summer transfer window, as per the specialist Liverpool must fight for title this year, true or not, “The Reds” got their job done last week. Nervous game and it was by far not the most brilliant display of Jurgen Klopp’s team. The point that matters happened on 23rd minute when Mohamed Salah scored the winner and with it earned all three point for Liverpool. Final score 1-0 and a good start of the campaign for Merseyside team.

After promoting last year in Premier League, Rafael Benitez managed to keep his team out of the relegation zone and with the budget that he had to consolidate a squad in order to secure a decent spot in new campaign 2018-2019. From another side Maurizio Sarri inherited a top team with a world class players and the time to implement his vision on the style of playing football started well, faster than on Emirates. It took them 76 minute to open the score for Chelsea on Saint James Park against Newcastle United, Eden Hazard finished perfectly from penalty spot. Joselu equalized on 83rd minute and the hope appeared in the end of the tunnel for local supporters. Despite the dominance of Chelsea the counter attack approach of Rafa Benitez brought them a equalizer. With just three minutes before the end of the standard time DeAndre Yedlin scored an own goal and with it Chelsea won 2-1 the away game at Newcastle United.

After the retirement of Sir Alex Ferguson, the heavy cloud gathered on the sky of the red part of Manchester and unsuccessful short periods with David Moyes and Louis Van Gaal , the Special One with his tactics and strategies stopped the sinking ship and in last season got a cup and a second place for Manchester United in Premier League. The attacking football though desapeared and internal situation between the manager, players and the board got quite tense in the last couple of months. The surprising defeat in last week away at Brighton & Hove Albion 2-3 was just the start of rumors and this week the humiliating defeat at home 0-3 to Tottenham Hotspur just spiraled the doubt if the Portuguese gonna finish the first part of season here or elsewhere. In contrast to previous match, in this one there were pressing, moments and over all another way of approaching the game and if you’re aware of Mourinho’s style it was an innovative football, unfortunately it didn’t pay back and on 50th minute Harry Kane opened the score, two minutes later United lost again the ball and Lucas Moura doubled the lead for Tottenham Hotspur. Romelu Lukaku and his team mates had nothing to lose and continued their attempts to get them back into the game having over all 11 shoots of target and 5 on target, but as it happens nothing entered in the goal of Hugo Lloris. Lucas Moura scored the third on 84th minute and with this second defeat in a row Manchester United dropped in the second part of the League Table finishing week 3 on 13th place.

PREMIER LEAGUE 18/19 WEEK 2 HIGHLIGHT, RESULTS, COMMENTS AND LEAGUE TABLE

Premier League is back already the second weekend and the excitement didn’t dropped down, worse it just increased. Let’s Talk Football, shall we? Firstly about Everton. Everyone knows that “The Toffees” paid for Watford Brazilian striker Richarlison, around  £50million and guess what, the fella worth it so far. Theo Walcot opened the score after a quarter of hour and that same Brazilian doubled the lead on 31st minute. Southampton is not just the team that is making a fortune selling their best players to Liverpool, their new signing Dany Ings, that had a pale career for reds due multiple injuries scored the only goal for visitors on 54th minute.

Maybe you know or not but the contractors responsible to deliver new stadium for Tottenham Hotspur announced that the arena is not yet ready to held official games so Spurs played their first home game against new promoted Fulham same like previous season on Wembley. Fortunate, for sure not, Tottenham despite lack o transfers this season had kept all the important players and the quality of the squad and the team play remains on the top level, so the match was clearly dominated by hosts. Brazilian right winger Lucas Moura opened the score on 43rd minute of the match. Fulham fought hard in previous season to promote from Championship to Premier League so on 52nd minute Aleksandar Mitrović scored the equalizer. Kieran Trippier, international England right back put the hosts ahead again on 74th minute and four minutes latter the goalscorer of the World Cup in Russia 2018, Harry Kane, broke the psychological barrier of August, making the score on the screen 3-1 for Tottenham Hotspur.

One of the most spectacular game of the weekend was by far the derby of London, Chelsea against Arsenal on Stamford Bridge. Main point of this confrontation was this: both team got new coaches and due the limited time or budget there were no massive transfers of superstars to both clubs, exception maybe the departure of Tibois Curtois to Real Madrid and arrival from Athletic Bilabao of Kppa Arizzabalaga for £71.6m. Unai Emery’s Arsenal delivered an outstanding performance but this is valid for a specific part of the game. Chelsea started flying and scored a fast two goal in 20 minute, Pedro Rodriguez opened the score on 9th minute and Arlvaro Morata doubled the lead 11 minutes later. Here arrived the impact of the new Spanish coach of Arsenal and his work with the team. Gunners turned the score in just four minutes. First Henrikh Mkhitaryan reduced the handicap to 2-1 on 37th minute. Chelsea players didn’t had time to digest this received goal as  Alex Iwobi made it 2-2 on 41st minute. The massive fight was going in the middle of the park and poth sides were creating chances in the second half, though more productive have been Chelsea that push the winner through Spanish defender Marcos Alonso on 81st minute. Final score Chelsea 3-2 Arsenal, but to be honest Arsenal played a good match and slowly, slowly this team will become more stronger as the new manager is getting used with the new Championship and more quality players will join.

Manchester City had prepared a storm of goals for their supporters gathered on Etihad Stadium. Huddersfield Town survived last year in Premier League but against the current champions the players of David Wagner had a day to forget from their memory as their team capitulated on all the fronts. Sergio Kun Aguero had a perfect day at the box and scored his first hat-trick of the season(25′, 35′, 75′). Gabriel Jesus get his name on the score shit as well on 31st minute and just before the end of the first half after a set piece Huddersfield Town got their consolation goal through Jon Gorenc Stanković(43′). After the half time Citizen were upfront 3-1 and they didn’t stopped there, smelling the blood they got three more, David Silva got a beautiful goal form the free kick on 48th minute and newly entered Leroy Sané forced an own goal for Terence Kongolo with six minutes before the end of normal time. Jose Pep Guardiola’s team is on the wave and I’m curious if any of the top team can stop them except Arsenal that lost in the opening of Premier League 0-2 on Emirates.

Lots of criticism and a mostly failed American preseason campaign for Manchester United, brought a team that had serious issues about understanding each other and act like a unit. The public behavior and the criticism of manager Jose Mourinho already made the headlines in printed press as well online. After a 2-1 home win against Leicester, this week Manchester United traveled to The American Express Community Stadium to play against another “outsider” of Premier League Brighton & Hove Albion. Against all the logic the host showed more desire to win the game and dictate from the beginning a very aggressive attacking football and as a result on 25th minute Glenn Murray opened the score for Brighton, two minutes later Shane Duffy doubled the lead. Surprised and somehow demoralized Red Devils put the strengths together and reduced the handicap on 34th minute through Romelu Lukaku(2-1). Just before the end of the first half(40′) Bailey made a fault in the box and Pascal Groß finished perfectly from the penalty box putting his team ahead with two goals, 3-1. Everything left to Manchester United was another 45 minutes to equalize and force the victory. In era of Ferguson that was just the matter of time, luck and perseverance, on this day the tactics and formation of Mourinho didn’t work as it was planned to and after an intensive and tiring 45th minute in the last second of the game, Paul Pogba scored another penalty for MU, but three valuable point were gone. After the game the World Cup winner with France midfielder agreed that the team didn’t deliver their best and took the away game quite easy, thing that cost them three points. I support for a long time Liverpool but to be honest with each and everyone of you I don’t like the way the Manchester United is playing in the last two seasons the style the tactics, it’s a boring football to watch plus from the fearful club that was winning titles after titles slowly, slowly remains just memories and the sunshine after the thick layers of clouds seems to be farther then ever. I’m missing the strong and powerful Manchester United of Sir Alex Ferguson, mix of talent and experience, young and well established names, kids that marked a generation(The Class of 92).

Last major game of the weekend was Crystal Palace against Liverpool. Reds don’t have to bright memories from Selhurst Park in the recent history and their trademark flop behavior with lesser team as well is known so the match was interesting from all perspectives. I’ve watched the match from home on the couch and there were something in the game of Liverpool that was sounding the alarms. Usually Liverpool is scoring in the beginning of the matches and then loosing the tempo and mobility in the second half of the game usually are conceding  goals. After a fist half dominated by the visitors in the end of the first half after a slight touch of Crystal Palace, ex-Liverpool center back Mamadou Sakho, Egyptian winger, Mohamed Salah felt in the box and was awarded with a penalty. Already in the extra time of first half James Milener put Liverpool ahead 1-0. In the absence of Jordan Henderson the author of the goal was wearing the captain arm band. Mohamed Salah didn’t score this evening but was crucial for two more episodes during the second half. Liverpool played more for possession and the attacking intention were chosen slowly bun once they’ve run on counter attack, Egyptian arrive on one on one postilion but was touched from behind by Aaron Wan-Bissaka that got a straight a red card on 75th minute. Even playing with one more man in the last minutes of the match Crystal Palace felt the nervosity of the visitors and created few dangerous moments very close to equalize. On this occasion both the goalkeeper Allison and Virgil van Dijk proved to be the weave breaker of Crystal Palace attacking waves. In the last minute of extra time, and the referee added 4 minute, after a failed attacking action of the host, Mohamed Salah received the ball and opened greatly Sadio Mane that sealed the final score: Crystal Palace 0-2 Liverpool.

PREMIER LEAGUE 18/19 WEEK 1 HIGHLIGHT, RESULTS, COMMENTS AND LEAGUE TABLE

For English Premier League Football Jerseys Click Here!!!

This year the time between end of the season and the new start of Premier League was quite short due to the FIFA WORLD CUP in RUSSIA 2018. We’ve got a new World Champions in France, a vice champions Croatia and a third place Belgium. All this teams have plenty of players that made their names in Premier League, Eden Hazard, Kevin de Bruyne, Romelu Lukaku, Paul Pogba, Hugo Loris, Kolo N’Kante, Dejan Lovren and much more.

All the English clubs had time to make the transfers up to 9th of August and from the most important moves this summer we can recount here the transfers of Alison Baker, Jordan Shaqiri, Fabinho, Keita to Liverpool, Riyad Mahrez to Manchester City, Fred and Green to Manchester United, Kepa Arizzabalaga, Jorginho, Maurizio Sarri to Chelsea, Bern Leno, Matteo Guendouzi, Stephan Lichtsteiner, Sokratis Papastathopoulos, Lucas Torreira and of course new manager that got the job after the leave of Arsene Wenger, Spanish technician Unai Emery will lead the Gunners in the new campaign 2018/19.

Back to business and let’s have a look to the first week of Premier League, to be honest with you I was very excited. After watching predictions and analysis about the contenders for the title in the new football year in England, Pep Guardiola’s Manchester City and Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool take the main scene. It seems to be like yesterday the run for the title in season 13/14 when Citizen and Reds finished first and second but all those two, three games in the end of the season full with drama and passion is hard to forget and from a supporter stand of point Liverpool this season fixed the major issues with the squad, they got a brilliant coach that managed to beat three times the magnificent Manchester City, once in the Premier League and twice in Champions League quarterfinals, so maybe this is the season when Liverpool will get their first Premier League Title since 90′, will live and will see.

Jose Mourinho had a quit tough summer preseason with his Manchester United in America. Except Green and Fred, Portuguese didn’t get the players that he wanted to strengthen his defense. This was the main thing that was coming from the Manchester United manager, the complains of the luck of the transfers comparing with the shopping of Everton, Manchester City, Liverpool or Arsenal. First game of the season, Old Trafford Stadium full of excitement and first game at home against Leicester City. Host take the initiative from the first second and on second minute got a penalty that World Cup winner with France, captain of Manchester United, Paul Pogba opened the score on 3rd minute of the game. The mach was mostly open and sometimes Leicester City was showing a game that they might turn around the score. Luke Shaw, player that had a public conflict with Jose Mourinho last season doubled the score on 83rd minute of the game and it seems that his choice the remain at the club, work hard and earn a place in the first team paid back. Anyhow this is English Premier League and until the last second many things can happen and a lead of two goals can be lost in less then 5 minutes to go. Jamie Vardy got the opposition goal on 94th minute after the cross hit the bar, English striker was there to insert he ball in the net with a fast almost instinctive header. Final score Manchester United 2-1 Leicester City.

Fist match of the season Tottenham Hotspur played away at Saint James Park against Newcastle United. Unless their rivals Mauricio Pochettino didn’t got any transfers this summer and with the players that he got in the previous campaign they will carry on in 18/19. Tottenham got their new stadium ready and shortly they will have their first game there, but without having a backup on the bench and few more upgrades on the pitch the challenge of the title against City or Liverpool this year seems less likely, a place in top 4 for sure, Champions League place maybe, but not the title of Premier League. Jan Vertonghen opened the score with a header on 8th minute. The goal line devices proved that the ball crossed slightly the line. Joselu equalized just three minute later for the Black Cats on 11th minute and the last goal of the match arrived on 18th minute from Dele Alli, that gained for this team first three points.

Maurizio Sarri debut with Chelsea in the Premier League had to be a statement that the decision of changing the managers was a good one form the Chelsea board. Italian technician has as an assistant a compatriot and a club legend Gianfraco Zola. Kepa Arizzabalaga that was signed just days ago from Athletic Bilbao for €80m took the place in the goal of Thibaut Courtois, that joined Real Madrid. Another World Cup winner with France, N’golo Kante opened the score on 34th minute for Chelsea. Joringho doubled the score on 45th minute from the penalty spot and Pedro Rodriguez tripled the score on 80th minute against Huddersfield Town, team that promoted to Premier League in 2017 and managed to survive for another season avoiding relegation.
